Jackie is a graduate of Northwestern State University and has been practicing accounting in CenLa since 1982. Branching off in 1989, she partnered with Boyle Henderson and DHC was born. She currently heads up the firm’s construction services group and has earned the designation of CCIFP (Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional).  Jackie is very involved with CICPAC (Construction Industry CPAs and Consultants), a national group of CPAs with concentrations in the construction industry.  She has served on the executive and other committees of that organization as well as in in various officer capacities, including chairperson.   Locally,  Jackie has served as a trustee of the Rapides Foundation as well as chairman of that board.  She currently is a member of the Executive Committee and treasurer of Louisiana Central (formerly CLEDA). 

When she’s not working, Jackie loves traveling (even if it's only on her Peloton) and spending time with her family. Her favorite places and past times involve sand and snow. 

Boyle graduated from LSU in 1966 and went on to take Masters level accounting studies. He passed the CPA exam and was licensed in 1972. He worked for firms in Houston, New Orleans, and Lake Charles before settling down in Alexandria. In 1989 he partnered with Jackie Daenen and co-founded the firm. While Boyle has extensive experience in all areas of tax, his expertise lies in healthcare consulting. He is a devoted member to his church and many other local professional organizations. Fun fact about Boyle is that he is also a pilot and participates in a program called Pilots for Patients that volunteer to fly people back and forth for treatment. He loves bragging on his grandchildren and talking about his retirement date, which will be the 32^nd day of the 13^th month.

With 15 years of experience, Emily came to DHC in September of 2020 as our Accounting and Auditing Manager.  Emily is a member of the AICPA and LCPA. She is a lifetime resident of Cenla and loves spending time with her husband, Mark and their three children. You may have seen her many moons ago on stage where she performed in over a dozen musical theater productions! Emily is also a fan of British humor, sci-fi movies, and juicy, true crime murder podcasts. Her wanderlust ensures she'll never turn down the opportunity to travel.

Brannin graduated from LSU with a master’s degree in accounting in 2014 and received her CPA license shortly after. Having extensive experience in all areas of accounting, as well as teaching collegiate level accounting courses, Brannin has decided that public accounting is her passion and has been a DHC family member since 2016. As our Tax Manager, Brannin ensures the workflow is constant and consistent. Being a Baton Rouge native, attending LSU football games has always been a big part of her life. Brannin is a wonderful advocate for the accounting community and enjoys growing the profession any way that she can. If she’s not spending time with her family and two young daughters, you will find Brannin indulging in her guilty pleasure of reality TV and being part of the Bachelor Nation. “Brannin, will you accept this rose and stay with DHC forever”? 

Shelby graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (ULL) in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in Political Science. She then decided to obtain a post-baccalaureate in Accounting from ULL in 2016 and became a CPA the following year. Shelby has been a part of the DHC team since 2019. When she’s not spending precious time with family, she enjoys a good rerun of The Office. Shelby also loves to bake and has mastered her banana bread recipe!  

Amy came to DHC in 2018 after 17 years with an environmental management company. As the Office Manger, Amy is responsible for making sure we are in compliance as well as keeping the staff happy and paid. She also handles many paraprofessional functions as well. Amy loves to read, bike ride, watch scary movies and hang out with her cats. But above all that, Amy LOVES coffee and is always happy with a mug in her hand!

Lety graduated from Law School in Mexico in 2015. Shortly after graduating, she got married and moved to Louisiana where she worked for a local law firm. Lety found her passion for accounting while doing some side work for her husband’s family business. At the end of 2016, she decided to follow that passion and started working at DHC. She has recently expanded her family and moved to Texas, but continues to work remotely. As our senior staff accountant, Lety performs complex accounting activities and financial analyses. She enjoys spending time at the beach with her family and riding her peloton. Lety loves coffee and avocado and doesn’t even want to imagine going through life without them!  

Sarah joined DHC in March of 2021 after a 13-year stint in Human Resources. In 2020 she received her MBA from LSUS and decided to make a career change into accounting. She is actively taking additional accounting courses to qualify to sit for the CPA exam at some point in the future. As the Business Manager, Sarah oversees day-to-day operations and pushes toward financial and operational objectives. She enjoys teaching intermediate and advanced tap at Just Dance Studio in Alexandria, LA. In her spare time, Sarah loves working out, spending time with her family, and upcycling furniture. She also truly believes she could live off chips and salsa. 

Kyle is a 2021 graduate of Northwestern State University with a bachelor's degree in accounting. He started his accounting career in retail management before joining the DHC team in 2022. Kyle has successfully passed all parts of the CPA exam and is awaiting the final requirements to obtain his license.  Kyle appreciates the fact that everyday in the world of accounting is different than the day before, as there are consistent changes in tax laws and clients.  Most of his time is spent with his children and studying, but he tries to squeeze in a little exercise as well. There is nothing more relaxing than going for a run in the neighborhood. Kyle believes he probably should have been an attorney because he loves having long conversations (or debates if you will) regarding many different topics. He also really enjoys hamburgers and has probably eaten thousands in his lifetime.

Gracee is a Central Louisiana native and came to DHC in the fall of 2021 as an intern. She graduated from Louisiana Christian University, previously named Louisiana College, in May 2022. She was hired full time as a staff accountant right after graduation. She is working towards taking the CPA exam in the near future. Gracee played basketball and ran track in high school and has carried those team skills into her days at DHC. She loves spending time with her family and friends, assisting as a youth and childcare worker at her church, and being outside. While she is not at the office, she can be found with a book in her hands, playing basketball and working out, or helping her dad with any and all random projects around the house.

Katelyn is a native of central Louisiana and a graduate of Pineville High School. Her most recent accomplishment was graduating from Unitech Training Academy with a certificate in medical billing and coding. Katelyn has also studied nursing and sign language over the years. She enjoys spending time with her family and going on adventures with the kiddos as well as attending church. Katelyn feels that she is most in her element when she is helping people, which is why she is a perfect addition to the DHC family.
